After three consecutive draws, the Academy returned to celebrate at the Cilindro in a match that was decided before halftime.

For Racing, the conclusion of the 2023 Professional League season looks brighter than its recent path, even with the possibility of losing Fernando Gago. They arrived at 10 matches unbeaten after a 3–1 victory over Central Córdoba in Avellaneda, despite a stretch of three draws in the league.

As has been common lately due to injuries, Gago again had to lean on several youth players, and the standout of the night was Agustín Ojeda, who scored the second goal just before halftime after Juan Nardoni had already opened the scoring. In 45 minutes, the Academy appeared to seal the result.

To start the second half, Oroz added a goal after a superb assist from Piovi, the team’s standout player in recent times. Kalinski’s late consolation was more for statistics, as there was little the Railroad could do to close the gap.

While the primary objective remains the Copa Libertadores, Racing aims to finish the league closer to the international spots and, above all, with the assurance of several youth options available as substitutes.
