The fan is serving three months in club jail, although one of them is suspended.
An incident that should never occur at a football match or any sporting event took place at PSV Eindhoven’s stadium during the Europa League round of 16 clash between the Dutch club and Sevilla. A spectator ran onto the pitch and assaulted Sevilla’s goalkeeper Dmitrovic. A few weeks later, the Everidisie club delivered a strong punishment for the offender.
PSV acted decisively against the supporter who attacked the Spaniard and who was later stopped by the goalkeeper himself. The Netherlands club has barred the individual from entering the Philips Stadium for the next four decades, a punishment in addition to the prison term of three months, with one month suspended, as ordered by the country’s Public Prosecution Service in relation to stadium access.
The man who invaded the field during PSV – Sevilla FC and assaulted the Spanish goalkeeper is not welcome at the Philips Stadium for forty years.

The club confirmed via its social media outlet that the person who entered the field during the match and attacked the Sevilla goalkeeper will not be allowed back into the Philips Stadium for forty years.
It is recalled that, as stoppage time began, a fan leapt from the stands and struck Dmitrovic from behind. The goalkeeper later described the incident, noting that the assailant appeared agitated, possibly intoxicated, and upset with the scoreline.
The same Serbian goalkeeper restrained the attacker until security personnel arrived to remove him from the field. Remarkably, the referee allowed play to continue. PSV scored a second goal, but there was no time left for further action.
