Spanish rider Pedro Acosta, riding the Kalex, was declared not available for the British Grand Prix following a double health assessment conducted by the Grand Prix medical team at the Silverstone circuit over two days, Thursday and Friday.

Acosta had previously suffered a comminuted fracture of the femur in his left leg during a motocross incident ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix. He underwent surgery with Dr. Ignacio Ginebreda, who initially assessed the injury as more complex than anticipated. After the summer break, the Murcian rider traveled to Great Britain with the goal of competing in the first race of the season, but the championship physicians did not clear him to participate. A new radiological examination prompted a decision that would be announced the following morning.

Imaging confirmed the most serious projections, and the medical team determined that Acosta was unfit to race at Silverstone for the British event.
