Orihuela CF Prepares for Home Match in Santa Pola as Preseason Continues
Orihuela CF will take the field away from Los Arcos, playing in Santa Pola this Tuesday, as the pre-season schedule moves forward. The club is set to welcome supporters back on Friday, August 18, at 8:00 p.m. in a home-like atmosphere at the Los Arcos venue, where fans hope to see the team in action again after last week’s setbacks.
The upcoming opponent draws keen interest from the Scorpions’ followers: Real Murcia, a club competing in the First RFEF that is building a project aimed at reaching the Second Division again for another season. The short distance between the two cities makes it feasible for many Orihuela supporters to travel to Santa Pola, promising a lively pre-season event for the home side and its fans. So far in pre-season, Orihuela has played three friendly matches. On August 5, they were defeated 2-1 by the Spanish Footballers’ Association squad at Pinatar Arena.
Last Thursday, in San Pedro del Pinatar, Melilla, another First RFEF club, edged Orihuela 1-0.
