The squad defending Alexis Sánchez is set to reach the semi finals, fighting for a spot and earning a place in the second-tier group at the Vélodrome stadium.
On Tuesday, February 28, the quarterfinals of the French Cup begin, and one of the standout clashes features Olympic Marseille against Annecy FC. They will clash at the Orange Vélodrome, chasing a ticket to the semifinals.
La Canebière, the storied home of Olympique de Marseille, is the second-most successful club in the competition with 10 titles and nine runners-up. They earned their way into this knockout stage after defeating the mighty Paris Saint-Germain 2-1, thanks to a superb performance from Alexis Sánchez, who opened the scoring for the Phocéens. The other goal came from Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi.

Meanwhile, the team coached by Laurent Guyot, from the second division, played a 1-1 draw with Paris FC at the Charléty Stadium, but Marseille prevailed 6-5 in the ensuing penalty shootout to advance.
It is worth noting that in the latest edition, number 105, the group defending Sánchez reached the Round of eight, which was ultimately conquered by Nice with a 4-1 win at the Allianz Riviera. Historically, Marseille has not captured the cup since the 1988-89 season.
The quarterfinals of the French Cup will be broadcast by Zapping Sports, the streaming service that provides Chilean subscribers access via Smart TV, Roku, Apple TV, Android TV Box, iPhone, iPad, Android, or Chromecast.
