Brazilian defender Nino, who plays for Fluminense, has signed a contract with Zenit St. Petersburg that runs through the summer of 2028. The news was shared on social networks by a Brazilian sports journalist covering the transfer.
Reports indicate that the move to St. Petersburg will cost about 26 million Brazilian reais, which is roughly 4.84 million euros at current exchange rates.
Earlier in the offing, Nino was linked with a potential move to the English Premier League club Nottingham Forest, but negotiations with Flu were not resolved over the payment terms.
During the 2023 season, Nino helped Fluminense win the Copa Libertadores, while Fluminense finished seventh in the Brazilian Championship.
