Napoli’s leadership is actively seeking a new coach to guide the club ahead of the forthcoming season. Among the contenders appears Domenico Tedesco, once at the helm of Spartak Moscow. This development has been reported by Sports Express.
Today, Tedesco is closely connected with a prominent role in the Belgian national team, where he steered the squad to the final of the 2024 European Championship. With the tournament concluded, his contract with Belgium is set to expire, opening the door to possible new assignments.
At present, Napoli is under the management of Walter Mazzarri, and the squad sits in ninth place in Serie A as the campaign progresses.
Tedesco’s coaching journey includes a stint with Spartak Moscow from 2019 to 2021, during which the club finished second in the 2020/21 season under his leadership. He later took charge of RB Leipzig starting in December 2021, a tenure that ended after a Champions League defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in September 2022.
Early in 2023, he assumed guiding duties for the Belgium national team. In his first match, the team defeated Sweden 3-0, with Romelu Lukaku delivering a hat-trick to highlight the win.
Earlier reports suggested that the Milan legend could be at the helm of Ukrainian football, a claim reflecting the high level of interest surrounding his coaching future.
