Over two dozen compatriots have taken part in group stage fixtures, with the most recent entry counted separately from previous campaigns.

Mexican football has long had a strong footprint in Europe, with more than twenty players appearing in the Champions League. A fresh name joins that list: Santiago Giménez.

Historically, several Mexicans have competed in Europe’s premier tournament, achieving a range of results. Some even tasted glory, such as Rafael Márquez (2005-06 and 2008-09) and Jonathan dos Santos (2010-11).

In GOAL’s account, the focus is on Mexicans who participate in the competition from the group stage onward. It should be noted that this compilation excludes players who appeared only in earlier qualifying rounds, such as Alan Pulido, Guillermo Ochoa, Efrain Juarez, Gerardo Arteaga, Orbelin Pineda, and Rodolfo Pizarro, who did not feature in the group stage.
