Lucentum appoints Antonio Pérez Caínzos as new manager
The HLA Alicante squad revealed its coaching group for the upcoming season, outlining a clearly defined plan to challenge for promotion in the LEB Oro. The team from Alicante introduces a leadership core that will guide the squad through 2023-24, including two assistant coaches, a physical trainer, a physiotherapist, and a delegate who will help coordinate team activities and logistics.
Alberto Carrillo and Raúl Lozano will serve as assistant coaches under the Galician head coach. Carrillo brings extensive experience to the bench, marking his eighth year with HLA Alicante in a coaching role. Lozano, meanwhile, will begin his fourth consecutive season serving as an assistant coach, contributing continuity and strategic insight to the team’s preparation.
Fabio Tarruella will continue for a new season as the physical trainer, maintaining a steady commitment to the team’s conditioning and on-court readiness. Tarruella has been responsible for the physical preparation of the squad for multiple campaigns, and his ongoing role is seen as a cornerstone of the team’s approach to performance and reliability.
Carlos Rubio and Marcos Martínez join the staff as physiotherapist and delegate, respectively. Rubio comes to HLA Alicante with a background closely connected to the Alicante basketball community, bringing familiarity with the Lucentum club and its culture. Marcos Martínez joins as the delegate, leveraging his experience to support administrative and logistical duties that keep the team functioning smoothly during training and games.
