Ufa’s Salavat Yulaev forward Joshua Livo, a Canadian, set a new single-season mark in the Kontinental Hockey League during the regular season.

In the season finale against Barys from Kazakhstan, Salavat Yulaev prevailed 4-1. Alexander Khmelevsky opened the scoring at 11:18, Sheldon Redpal added another at 18:00, Aslan Zhussupbekov trimmed the gap at 26:00, Livo extended the lead at 51:00, and Scott Wilson closed the scoring at 56:00.

That win gave Livo 49 goals for the regular season. The former Magnitogorsk Metallurg standout surpassed the 48-goal mark for a single campaign. Livo also contributed to Wilson’s tally. He finished the season with 80 points in 62 games, combining 49 goals and 31 assists.

Salavat Yulaev finished second in the Eastern Conference with 93 points. In the first round of the playoffs, the opponent would be Siberia or Admiral Vladivostok, a decision to be determined after Vladivostok completed its final regular-season game against Neftekhimik.
