Krylia Sovetov Beats Sochi 2-0, Reaches Third in RPL Standings

In the seventeenth round of the Russian Premier League, Krylia Sovetov Samara secured an away win against Sochi.

The contest unfolded at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi, finishing 2-0 in favor of Krylia Sovetov. The scoring began in the 71st minute when Roman Yezhov found the net, opening the scoring for the visitors. The decisive moment came early in the match, as Benjamin Garre converted a penalty in the third minute to seal the result.

That victory lifted Krylia Sovetov to 29 points, placing them third in the Russian Premier League standings, ahead of Dynamo Moscow and Spartak Moscow. Yet both Moscow clubs still hold a game in hand, having yet to play their match in the 17th round. Sochi, on the other hand, dropped to the bottom of the table with 10 points after a run that has seen four defeats in the last five matches.

Looking ahead, Krylia Sovetov is scheduled to finish 2023 with an away fixture against Spartak Moscow on December 9. The kickoff is set for 14:00 Moscow time. Sochi will conclude the year at home against Orenburg on December 10, with a start time of 16:30 Moscow time.

Additionally, there were reports that the Russian Football Union did not receive information related to questionable betting activity connected to the RPL match in question.
