The Intercity project advances with a clear objective: secure promotion to LaLiga SmartBank. The club builds around a strong category team structure and aims to establish a lasting, competitive presence in the First RFEF during its inaugural year. At the Alicante launch, Juanfran Torres, a former international, now serves as vice president of sports for Intercity. He described the undertaking as a beautiful challenge to be met with humility and professional rigor, and he confirmed Gustavo Siviero will remain head coach for the upcoming season.

Torres, who also holds a stake in the club, noted that stepping into the vice-presidential role aligns with the values he represents. He expressed happiness about participating in the project and emphasized a shared vision for progress and collaboration from within the organization.

Intercity’s vice president of sports reaffirmed that Gustavo Siviero will continue as coach in the club’s first RFEF campaign. The message was clear: Siviero plays a pivotal role, guiding communications that shape the squad. Work on the team’s preparation is already underway, focusing on building a cohesive, competitive outfit.

Regarding facilities, Torres stated that the club plans to continue playing at the Antonio Solana stadium in Alicante. An agreement with the City Council is in place to implement the reforms needed to host the first RFEF matches. Additionally, Intercity is pursuing the development of a sports city project, a central objective for the club and a daily source of ambition.

During the presentation, Torres underscored a strong belief in the academy and the values it should instill in young players. The aim is to develop good people as well as skilled footballers, with a preference for more black shirts representing Alicante on the field.

In a broader leadership update, Salvador Martí and co-founder Javier Mira introduced Jorge López as the new sporting director of the Alicante club. Martí described Intercity as a serious project that has made significant progress in a short period and holds strong value. The club’s goal remains clear: rise to higher levels of competition. The technical leadership in Valencia discussed that the objective will likely require multiple signings, with López coordinating the efforts alongside a coaching team that includes Alexis Egea, who moved from playing to coaching duties to fill a gap left by Paco Peña.

Despite a drop in share value, Martí pointed out that the sporting achievements are tangible. The company remains focused on long-term growth, acknowledging that market value often reflects consistent, quality performance over time. The stance was simple: patience is essential, and steady progress will eventually translate into greater market confidence.

Intercity Promoted to First RFEF!

Intercity’s ongoing ascent signals a commitment to developing a robust footballing culture in Alicante, with a plan that balances on-field ambition and strong organizational foundations. The club aims to build a sustainable future that blends competitive play with the values that drive its community-driven approach.

As the season approaches, supporters can expect continued investment in youth development, strategic signings, and a renewed focus on creating a football environment where players grow as individuals and as part of a cohesive squad dedicated to long-term stability.
