Golovin in the running for Russia’s 2023 national team squad

Alexander Golovin, a central midfielder for the Russian national team and AS Monaco, was among the players considered for inclusion in the national squad for 2023 in the EA Sports FC 24 edition, formerly known as FIFA. The selection process involved a wide pool of talent from across the sport, with developers listing 85 players who could contend for a spot in the year’s lineup. Golovin earned a place in a broader roster of 28 midfielders who faced potential selection for the national team of the year. He stood alongside notable competitors such as Bernardo Silva, Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, Rodri, İlkay Gündoğan, Toni Kroos, Leroy Sané and several others. Balloting for the national team began on January 8, inviting fan participation in shaping the final squad.
