To his surprise, “Wolf” Fischer joined the Gladiators. Representing Chile at the Pan American Games in Santiago, they secured the gold after defeating Brazil in the final. Alicante’s number 27 expressed pride in rejoining the squad, a statement tied to his leadership since 2019 and his participation in the last two world championships.

“Being among the 16 called up is beyond words and brings a rush of euphoria, especially sharing it with lifelong friends. Coming here feels like a dream realized,” the player noted before entering the Chilean tournament, a venue used in the build-up to Paris 2024 Games.
