Eldense’s winter market activity and squad adjustments
In the current winter transfer window, Eldense is actively closing gaps in its squad. An agreement with Inter for Eddie Salcedo’s loan has been reached, and Mohammed Dauda is set to join on a rental deal as well. If all goes smoothly, the Ghanaian forward will add depth to the attack just as the club anticipated. This influx comes as a supplement to Eldense’s winter market strategy, with Nacho Monsalve reinforcing the defense in line with the club’s plans.
The move targets a position needing reinforcement after Salcedo’s departure. Salcedo did not leave a lasting impression during his time at Eldense. Mohammed Dauda fits the profile of a versatile attacker who typically operates from the left. He is capable of adapting to multiple forward roles and even spends time in midfield when required, all while maintaining a natural instinct for goal scoring.
Dauda began his career with Asante Kotoko in Ghana, progressing to Europe in 2017 with Anderlecht for a reported transfer fee around 250 thousand euros. His career continued with a loan spell at Esbjerg in Denmark, where he scored five goals in 25 appearances. Earlier in his European journey, he had a stint in the Netherlands, followed by a move to Cartagena on loan. His performances with the Albinegro side showcased his goal-scoring ability, including nine goals in 35 matches in the second division of Spain.
His solid form attracted the attention of Tenerife, where he was on loan last season and subsequently transferred on a free deal in the summer market, signing a contract until 2026. Since then, his first-half performances did not meet expectations. He made 11 appearances this season, three of them as a starter, without earning full trust from the coach, Asier Garitano. Despite interest from foreign clubs, Eldense’s desire to stay in Spain led to a prioritization of remaining with the current club.
Output expected
Thus, the Barça forward is considered unavailable for this transfer window. Players such as Andone, Mario Soberón, and Juanto Ortuño are also available to reinforce the attack, alongside Mo Dauda. The current squad has scored 27 goals in 21 matches, ranking among the top scorers in the league. More than half of those goals come from three strikers in the squad, reflecting the strength of Eldense in the attacking department to date.
Regarding departures, Andoni Zubiaurre has communicated his intention to leave due to limited minutes. The goalkeeper recognizes the club’s strong demand for goals this season and the possibility of pursuing a different path. Vallejo and Aceves are among the players who could explore new opportunities in other setups.
Cris Montes’ powerful counter-attacks
We shift focus to the midfield where Miguel Marí has received offers from Antequera and Sabadell and is expected to go out on loan for the remainder of the season. Arnau Ortiz, a winger currently on loan from Girona, is looking for more minutes. Ibiza and other First RFEF clubs have shown interest in his situation. The objective for Barça’s sports management remains clear: finalize all moves promptly to prepare for the upcoming fixture against Zaragoza next Monday.
