Elche CF wrapped up its fourth day of training at the luxury La Finca Resort in Algorfa, with plans to return in under two weeks for another pre-season stint. The squad enjoyed a six-day block focused on rest, physical conditioning, tactical briefings, and intensive technical work for the Franjiverde side.

Pere Milla and Álex Martín were pictured during a sequence aimed at boosting speed in the sprint lanes. The scene captures the disciplined environment at La Finca, a setting known for its spa, swimming pools, dining venues, and golf courses. Yet for Elche’s first team, leisure is replaced by a strict agenda: a demanding schedule, high-intensity sessions, gymnastics, physiotherapy, repetitive drills, strategic discussions, and limited downtime. Saturday marks the first match since resuming training.

Luxury facilities meet maximum exertion as the squad pushes through demanding sessions designed to sharpen performance in this early phase of preparation.

who is at the rally

Elche CF’s Algorfa camp gathers a total of 39 participants: 22 players, five coaching staff, nine medical personnel, two kit officials, and the club’s new delegate. The group also includes youth players who travel daily from Elche to the high-performance complex. Depending on the day, photographers and communications staff also participate, documenting the progress and capturing key moments.

How are the days in Algorfa?

The program, as it has been since the Beccacece era began, remains intensely structured. Players arrive with routines already in place, starting with meals. Nutritious menus, overseen by a nutritionist, shape the day from breakfast through dinner. Usually the first-team meals include the first two daily meals, and practice takes place at the Martínez Valero stadium later on.

The nutritional foundation is essential to build the correct physical condition for the season’s kickoff and to reduce injury risk, especially muscle strains. Morning sessions often begin on the manicured pitches at La Finca Resort, which hosts two top-quality fields ready for action.

Health situation

As the sun climbs, staff members run individualized workouts in the gym before moving on to on-pitch work. Physiotherapy, massages, and targeted treatments address discomfort and accelerate recovery. Wounds are treated with care and precision. Only Tete Morente has reported an overload in the soleus, keeping him from a couple of the latest sessions, but he is progressing positively. The participant himself noted on social media that typical pre-season niggles will not halt his work rate.

After lunch, players return to tactical work, using whiteboards and detailed briefings from Argentine coach Sebastián Beccacece. The afternoon features on-grass drills, followed by a cooler evening and time for dinner and a brief respite before another early start the following day.

new faces

The Algorfa camp welcomes several new players. The squad now includes 22 active players, with familiar names from last season such as Fidel Chaves, Edgar Badia, Josan Ferrández, Pere Milla, Raúl Guti, Lucas Boyé, Tete Morente, Pedro Bigas, Diego González, Carlos Clerc, John C., Lautaro Blanco, Nico Fernández-Mercau, and Ezequiel Ponce. Local talents Jesús López, Javi Pamies, and Rodri Mendoza join, along with José Salinas and Mourad, who were on loan last year. The two initial signings from the current window arrived earlier: center-back Alex Martín and midfielder Aleix Febas.

To enrich the training sessions, Beccacece continues the approach used at Elche, reinforcing squads with young players from the city who attend daily and return home after work. Many of these participants are new to such an intense routine.

new delegate

The new delegate of the Franjiverde team is Juan Sánchez Niñoles, who holds the same role at Eldense, along with other members of the technical staff. Beccacece leads a team with Guille Marino as assistant coach, Martín Bressan as physical trainer, and Miguel Escalona as goalkeeping coach. Analyst Antón Clares joined the setup as well.

Rehabilitation lead Aitor Soler and assistant physical trainer Fidel Agulló handle care in Algorfa. José Pérez, known as Pepito, and Grégory Béranger manage equipment. Dr. César Quesada heads the medical service, supported by Dr. Ennio Priori. Physiotherapists José Ernesto Amador, Sergio Tur, and Carles Valero assist, while nutritionist Agustina Rintoul supports dietary planning.

Other regular Elche staff who travel to Algorfa but do not stay overnight include members of the Sports Department, such as Sergio Mantecón, Mauro Óbolo, and Antonio Barragán. Sonia Arcos photographs for the Communications team, with Asun Candela handling social media and Antonio Chaves serving as Head of Press.
