Artem Dzyuba, the forward for Lokomotiv Moscow, previously admitted meeting with President Vladimir Putin. The remark was reported by RIA News.
“If you could ask Putin something, what would it be? I’m not sure which question to pose. We spoke once and had a very good conversation. If I am nearby again, I would certainly ask something, but I won’t invent a question just for the sake of asking,” Dzyuba stated (Source: RIA News).
Dzyuba joined Lokomotiv for the 2022/23 season, and his deal was later extended under a 1+1 arrangement. This season, he has appeared in 16 Russian Championship matches and four National Cup fixtures, contributing four goals and three assists. In the previous season, the striker shared the team’s top scorer title with Izidor and Miranchuk, despite playing only half of the campaign.
On the international stage, Dzyuba represented Russia from 2011 to 2021, earning 55 caps and scoring 30 goals. He stands alongside Alexander Kerzhakov as the joint all-time leading scorer for the Russian national team.
