HOW IS THE TIEBREAKER?
Official competition rules outline how ties are resolved at this stage. If two clubs finish first and second in Phase I (the round-robin stage) and remain tied in the Phase II semifinals, the top two from Phase I advance to the final phase. When teams finishing in positions 3 through 8 in Phase II are level on points, a defined tie-breaking sequence is used in the following order:
1. The goal difference across Phase II semifinals.
2. The total goals scored in Phase II semifinals.
3. The highest away-goal tally in Phase II semifinals.
4. The fewest goals conceded away from home in Phase II semifinals.
5. The fewest yellow cards in Phase II semifinals.
