Forward Joel Fameye reflected on his time with former teammate Artem Milevsky, the Ukrainian striker who once shared the field with him at Dynamo Brest. The remarks come from a contemporary interview with Sports24.

“I don’t pay attention to negative chatter. Milevsky carried a positive energy that mattered more than anything,” Fameye noted. “We clicked not just in games but also during training. Artem often told me, ‘I need to score, and I expect an assist from you.’ Without that connection, the team’s problems would mount.”

Fameye recalled Milevsky as someone who could be swept up in emotions yet remained a solid, dependable figure. “Artem could be fearless—a real firebrand—but he is a good man,” Fameye added.

The two players wore the Dynamo Brest badge together, contributing to the club’s successes, including the Belarusian Cup and the Belarusian Super Cup, as part of a double-winning squad.

In 2019, Fameye moved from Dynamo Brest to Orenburg, while Milevsky led Belarus to a championship and later joined Rubin. Fameye later signed with Rubin, a club competing in the First League in 2022, signaling a fresh chapter in his professional journey.

During the current season, Fameye appeared in 15 Russian Premier League matches and found the back of the net four times. Rubin held eighth place in the standings after 17 fixtures, accumulating 25 points as the campaign progressed.

Earlier reports noted that Rubin had breached RPL regulations, a development that influenced the team’s standing and the broader discussion around compliance and governance in the league.
