A Russian figure skater, Alina Gorbachova, who disappeared in late August, was captured by multiple security cameras in Moscow. The case has drawn attention as authorities and families continue to search for clues about her whereabouts.
Initial reports indicate the 16-year-old athlete traveled in an unknown direction after visiting a cafe along the Volokolamsk Highway at about midday. Family members reported the disappearance on August 29, and investigators have been tracing her movements since then. The day before, Gorbachova had left the skating rink at Chkalov Arena around 6:54 PM following a confrontation with her coach, Sofia Fedchenko. From there, she reportedly headed toward the Vladimir Church and entered a park on the Pokrovskaya Embankment, after which she was no longer seen.
Gorbachova is a junior Russian champion, having earned the title at the national junior championship held in February 2023 in Perm. This achievement places her among the top young talents in the sport and underscores the concern surrounding her sudden disappearance.
Earlier updates indicated she might have been seen at Bank Opening Arena, and a public call for help circulated as authorities urged anyone with information to come forward.
