Alcoyano announced the winger’s move for Kike Carrasco from Atlético Sanluqueño. It marks the fourth signing of the winter window for Vicente Parras, all in attacking roles. The new Alcoyano forward has appeared 54 times in official matches, with 51 of those appearances wearing the green and white shirt. In a season and a half defending the Andalusian club, Carrasco has contributed four goals and two assists.

Deportivo’s latest signing is a 25-year-old who has primarily operated on the right wing for Cádiz, yet can adapt by switching to the left when needed. He trained with the Extremaduran and Cádiz youth systems, and rose to prominence within the squad led by Abel Segovia. He played a pivotal role in Atlético Sanluqueño’s promotion to the First Federation last season, becoming one of the standout performers in the squad.

Alcoyano regains its pulse

With this new attacker, the club also welcomed back Javi Anton from Castellón on the wing, and added center back Hércules Jean-Paul N’Djoli, alongside attacking midfielder Rafael de Palma. All players are expected to be available for the upcoming clash on Sunday, January 14, at 16:00, when Alcoyano visits Antequera at El Collao.

Pablo Carbonell to Sanluqueño

The transfer was completed shortly after Atlético Sanluqueño confirmed the addition of former Alcoyano captain Pablo Carbonell. The full-back left his lifelong club on December 20, and both clubs agreed to terminate his contract, which would have expired in July 2025.

The departure of the defender was followed by the exits of midfielders Sergi Garcia and Edu Campabadal, along with the recent dismissal of center-back Julen Monreal. Earlier, the two players had taken part in a striking display against Atlético de Madrid’s reserve squad in El Collao.

The club later posted a short message acknowledging Carbonell’s move.

The second retirement from Alcoyano’s roster happened just a day earlier, when a new signing arrived last summer. Despite a strong start, a groin injury limited a Navarrese defender’s playing time. In response, Deportivo’s center-back pairing Primi Férriz and Farru showed promise, yet the squad’s rotation meant fewer minutes for the notable defender.

The coaching and management team redirected their efforts toward rebuilding the squad, concentrating on strengthening the attack to offset a lack of blue-and-white firepower at the season’s start.

Maximum concern at Alcoyano due to loss of Pablo Ganet

The blue-whites have notched 15 goals in 18 matches, and along with teams fighting to avoid relegation, they have also faced one of the tightest defenses among the classification leaders. At times this season, the goalkeeper faced more demanding tests, with ten occasions in which opponents found the net against them, including a run of six consecutive games where the defense faced heavy pressure.
