Alcoyano faces a harsh reality amid training ground troubles
The coach Vicente Parras spoke out about the difficult situation surrounding the club and the poor state of its usual training grounds. The options to avoid a failure of the Elche coach’s proposed goals include the players and coaching staff working within their means. “Right now we have a problem and a need because a professional team like ours, Jorge Molina, cannot train on the field. He is not in a suitable situation”, Parras argued. He expressed gratitude for the facilities available when conditions allowed and noted that the current moment does not permit such use. “We cannot have a disorganized Alcoyano. We are looking for fields to train from here to there”, the blue and white coach stressed.
Alcoyano stumbles again after failing to score
Over the past two weeks, the team has traveled to Alicante multiple times to train and prepare for the league match. This week a specific schedule was set that included five training sessions at the home stadium, culminating in Saturday’s activation at Huelva Entertainment Area as a focal point of preparations.
The poor condition of El Collao grass
Parras commented on the deteriorating playing surface at the home venue, noting that the field cannot sustain the current training rhythm. He described El Collao as a facility that represents Alcoy to the city and acknowledged that the squad is getting close to professional football demands without having adequate infrastructure. He urged that training sessions be held on a pitch that aligns with the standards of the First Federation.
Two weeks ago Alcoyano used Fontnivel facilities twice, and another session took place last Thursday. The coach expressed gratitude to Hercules for sharing resources but warned that this goodwill may not always be available. He emphasized that the team cannot rely on a constant arrangement where training fields are guaranteed, anticipating possible future shortages as matches approach.
