With urgency pulsing through the match, Alcoyano pushed to escape a stumble at home after losing Mikel Pradera and gaining only a handful of points this stretch.
Alcoyano is not free from errors
The first quarter of an hour was a test of pace and setup. The locals crafted several set pieces on each flank, delivering balls into Ernesto’s space from the right that posed real danger. ImanolHe came close to breaking the deadlock with a clean header that skimmed past the post.
In spite of some rough edges, Alcoyano showed merit and grit, and the tide began to turn about thirty minutes in after a sustained push from the midfield. Ernesto initially cleared a threat with his foot, but Campabadal recovered the loose ball and fired a strike that ricocheted off the crossbar before looping into Linares’ goal.
Although the football was not flashy, it was effective. Vicente Parras’s side had contained Linares well, keeping the ball on a resurfaced pitch at El Collao that reflected well on their organization. The approach suggested a team capable of playing football under pressure.
As the first half ended, Alcoyano carried a sense of satisfaction. Sergi García’s group had produced moments that, while not always finishing in goals, left the home crowd hopeful as they headed to the dressing room with a temporary lead.
When the second half began, Linares adjusted and gradually shifted the balance, looking for openings in the Valens area to test the defense.
Alcoyano resisted with ten points and added one point (0-0)

Hugo Díaz peeled into the box, chasing a loose ball toward the far post as Linares pressed for parity. He found space near the area and appeared ready to convert, sending a shot that arrived just a moment too late to change the half-time equation for Andalusian hopes.
Linares then found an opening, turning the tide with a goal that pushed the visitors ahead before halftime. The response from Alcoyano came quickly, but the equalizer stayed elusive as the interval approached.
Deeper pressure from Sergi García’s lineup continued into the second period, yet clear-cut chances remained scarce. Mawi stirred play from the guests, leaving the field with 15 minutes to go and a real sense that the scoreline could tilt in either direction. Óscar Fernández’s side held their ground and collected a point that tasted better by the minute as the clock wound down.
