Five months ago, Zotac introduced the Portable Console zone on CES 2025 with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. However, the device has not yet appeared for sale and the company has announced that only an updated prototype will be displayed on the computer 2025.
According to Zotac, the new version of Zone will save the “Iron” – the Hybrid Chip Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and the Radeon 890m graphic images. The upgrade influences: Manjaro Linux receives optimization for portable devices, but the company hides the interfaced details. This is important, given that Valve has recently expanded Steamos support and prepares Lenovo Legion GOs with this system. However, Zotac seems to have chosen an independent path and avoid a link to steam.

Based on the render, the design of the console has changed at least small operations in the case and the OLED screen instead of the previous version. Experts suggest that the transition to Linux can be an attempt to lower the costs of the device by refusing Windows license. However, users can be cautious without clear performance garriers for Manjaro, such as in the case of the certification of Steamos compatible.
Zotac Solution Sting on Linux looks fat, given the dominance of Windows in the game industry. Whether the company can offer a useful ecosystem and compatibility with popular projects – it only becomes clear after the release. In the meantime, the zone remains promising, but not fully understandable device.
