The International Sports Federation (FIS) stated that it did not stand on the agenda to take into account the issue of providing a special invitation (joker card) to Russian skiers to participate in winter Olympic games. FIS expression is given by the publication “All -Sport”.
“The issue of admission to the tournaments under the auspices of Russia and Belarus athletes was not included in the agenda of the meeting of the establishment council on 16 April.
Russian athletes have been suspended by the International Sports Federation for performances on the world stage since March 2022. On January 30, Fıst Johan Eliash said that the Winter Sports Federation’s Summer Olympiad – 2024 Federation could adapt the experience of participating in the Winter Olympic Games – 2026 – 2026.
IOC suggested that international winter sports federations allow Russian athletes to participate in the Olympics. Winter Olympic Games – 2026 will take place between 6 February – 22 February.
