Alienware has announced two new models of gaming laptops – Aurora 16 and 16x. Unlike earlier versions with a futuristic design, the devices received a more modest appearance and compact dimensions, making them useful for daily use.
The most important change was the new cooling system: instead of the traditional protrusion, the fans are built into the lower part of the housing. This decision not only reduced the weight, but also improved the air flow. For users who are important, silence is offered, “stealth mode”, the elimination of the RGB background lighting and reducing the sound of the coolers.
The basic version (Aurora 16) is equipped with Intel Core i7 14700H processors, video cards to RTX 5070, 120 Hz screen and a brightness of 300 threads. The starting price is $ 1,149 (around 93,000 rubles), but the minimum configuration offers RTX 3050 and only 8 GB of RAM, which can be a disadvantage for games. A model of raised performance (Aurora 16x) with the Intel Ultra 9 275HX processor, 240 Hz display (500 threads), to support Thunderbolt 4 and up to 64 GB RAM. The price starts at $ 1,949 (around 158,000 rubles).
The small amount of RAM and the use of the GPU from previous generations do not correspond to expectations of the 2025 game devices. The possibility to upgrade a maximum of 64 GB RAM and 4 TB SSD, however, allows you to flexibly configure the configuration for your needs. The laptops are already for sale, the new series is designed to replace the outdated Alienware M and Dell G, aimed at the balance between performance and daily usability.
