According to TechRadar, a number of Windows 11 24H2 users are confronted with data loss due to the BitLocker function of Microsoft. It turned out that the function is automatically switched on when setting a new PC or when installing a clean operating system.
Remember that BitLocker is a security system that offers data coding to protect data. A year ago, however, the function caused a wave of criticism of Microsoft – it turned out that the SSD program slows up to 45%. Now PC owners complained on Windows 11 with coding function about a new problems in the form of losing files.

It is worth noting that the problem had no influence on those users who simply updated the existing Windows 11 -Assemblage to the latest version. In other cases, the BitLocker function is switched on as standard for the system disc and the repair key is linked to the Microsoft account. The catch is that the user is not aware of the automatic launch of coding and removing your accounting or switching to another, leads to loss of data, because the key together with the account disappears. At the same time, Microsoft does not warn users of such a scenario.
You can disable BitLocker by going to the Tincture section> Confidentiality and safety> The device coding.
Remember that a different controversial function has recently appeared in Windows 11, which can lead to a leak of bank details. Fortunately it can also be switched off.
