According to the information that appeared on the Board Channels Industry Forum, consider the largest manufacturers of the motherboard with Taiwan – Asus, MSI and Gigabyte – the possibility to increase the costs of their current generation. We are talking about motherboards with chipsets from the AMD 800 and Intel 800 series, which so far have just started taking positions on the market.
The reasons, according to sources, are complex. Among them are an increased production costs, rising prices for high -quality materials (including copper), as well as the need to support modern standards, such as PCI Express 5.0 and USB4. It is also impossible to exclude the influence of geopolitical factors, including the worsening of trade relations between the United States and China, which introduced a 32 percent rate for export from Taiwan in the United States.

So far there have been no official comments from the manufacturers themselves. Practice shows, however, that such price changes can be entered without high -profile statements – imperceptible to the consumer, by adjusting the recommended selling prices.
For buyers this can be a signal to think in advance about the purchase of components, especially if it would put together a new system in the near future. On the other hand, this is also a chance for less famous brands to offer more affordable alternatives and to take your niche against the background of the possible rise in the price of market leaders.
