The United Arab Emirates announced the launch of a pilot project to integrate artificial intelligence into the process of creating and adjusting legislation. If the experiment is successful, the country becomes a pioneer in the use of algorithms for such tasks.
According to local media, the system will analyze an extensive database, including federal and regional laws, judicial decisions, as well as statistics on public services. Based on this information, AI will offer changes to existing standards or new accounts, which assesses their potential influence on the economy and society. A special department has been established to manage the process – the Regulatory Intelligence department.

The authorities also expect that algorithms will be able to predict the need for changes in laws before critical situations, and to reduce the costs of attracting legal consultants. So far, other States AI mainly use the analysis of documents or optimizing bureaucratic processes, in the VAE the technology will ensure the direct formation of legal standards. However, experts indicate risks.
AI models are susceptible to generating false information, and their solutions are often not susceptible to the interpretation of a person. Despite the skepticism, the VAE is planning to continue the experiment. The success of the initiative can set a trend to automate public administration, but so far the question remains whether it is able to adequately replace lawyers.
👀 Destructivity on the new battlefield “will be advanced” – it will be possible to fully fold to each building
