Netflix surprisingly announced its premiere this Thursday ‘The Figo case: the signature of the century’A documentary that will analyze one of the most controversial signings in football history.

This production, which can be obtained from Turkey, August 25will reveal for the first time in-depth testimonies of its main protagonists in twenty years: Luís Figo, who signed for Barcelona in 1995 and moved to Real Madrid five years later; Jose VeigaFor most of Figo’s career, he was the manager and the negotiator and the Florentino Pérez, who started his presidency with a daring transfer.

“I identified with the values ​​of the club, defended them to the death. I was seen as one more,” Luís Figo says in the documentary trailer: “Many people spoke unknowingly, but I have the true story because my hero”. The Real Madrid president uses similar words: “I am the hero and all I have to say is what it is.”

The ‘Figo case: The signature of the century’ is the result of in-depth research work. More than 30 hours of interviews with 12 main participants. The documentary collects testimonies from some of the most important names in Spanish football, such as Joan Gaspart, Paulo Futre, Pep Guardiola, Roberto Carlos, Fernando Hierro, Jorge Valdano, José Ramón de la Morena, José Félix Díaz or Toni Frieros.
