Fresh test data revealed the potential of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 mobile video card, which was walking around the previous generation for fifteen minutes in the 3DMark Time Spy -Benchmark. If the desktop version of the RTX 5080 was disappointed with modest progress, the mobile analogue apparently becomes a new standard for game laptops.
According to Lekken, RTX 5080 scored 21,948 points in the Tijdens -graphic test, which is 24% higher than the RTX 4080 mobile result (17,601 points). This indicator approaches the level of the Top RTX 4090 Mobiel. The most important factors were the transition to the GDDR7 memory with 16 GB (against 12 GDDR6X with the predecessor) and an elevated tire width increased to 256-bit, so that the transit was halved.

Despite the preservation of the number of Cuda Jader (7680), the novelty received modernized blocks and increased energy consumption limited to 150 watts against 110 Watt in RTX 4080 Mobile. It is important to note that synthetic results do not always correlate with gaming performance, but such an important gap allows you to expect a breakthrough in 4K gaming and work with AI applications.
The RTX 5080 Mobile challenges the previous generation to its own top and offers gamers a high level of performance without too much payment for the flagship status. The final conclusions can be drawn after the release of devices on the market, but now it is clear: mobile GPU has made a qualitative leap, leaving desktop versions in the shade.
