Most recently, the Nintendo Switch 2 was announced, the official price of which has not yet been announced. However, some analysts have already shared their opinions on the price for which the console will be sold.

Most analysts believe the Nintendo Switch 2 will cost around $400. For example, Serkan Toto said he didn’t see anything in the trailer that could justify a higher price.
For comparison, the official cost of the original Nintendo Switch was $300. Nintendo Switch OLED, in turn, costs $350, and Nintendo Switch Lite costs $200.
Other analysts, including Mat Piscatella and Piers Harding-Rolls, also believe that $400 is a fair price for the new Nintendo Switch 2. However, they don’t believe the final price will have a major impact on initial sales unless it is too high.
Piers Harding-Rolls added that he wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo set the price at $500, but still thinks $400 is a more likely scenario.
Rhys Elliot also agreed that $400 is the ideal price for the Nintendo Switch 2. However, he mentioned one factor that could still push the cost higher.
If Switch 2 availability is limited at launch, Nintendo may increase the price. Early adopters will be willing to pay for it, and if it does sell out, Nintendo might think, “Why not?” I think Sony and Microsoft regret releasing the PS5 and Xbox Series X for $500. Both could sell for $600 or more at launch.
Furthermore, unlike other platform owners, Nintendo relies almost entirely on its console business, so it cannot easily take large, loss-making risks on pricing.

Joost van Dreunen, like other analysts, also agrees that the Nintendo Switch 2 will sell for $400. He believes that this amount is a critical psychological threshold for many users.
Be that as it may, Nintendo hasn’t officially revealed the cost of Switch 2 yet. Details of the console will be presented on April 2 as part of the Nintendo Direct presentation.
