Russian skier Anastasia Kuleshova, the bronze medalist at the 2018 Winter Olympics, complained about the living conditions of the national team at the Russian Cup stage in Kazan. He told this to his subscribers telegram channel.
“I want to show how the Russian national team lives in the famous Kazan. The room is 2×2 meters, there is not even a place to put things. The bag took up the entire corridor between the beds. Where should I put it and other things? Our famous Kazan. This is very cruel,” Kuleshova said.
He later deleted the post.
The Russian Cup stage in Kazan will take place from January 16 to 19.
At the end of February 2022, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) appealed to international sports federations, recommending that Russian and Belarusian athletes not be allowed to participate in any competitions.
So, in the spring of 2022, the International Ski Federation (FIS), on the recommendations of the IOC, decided to suspend Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until the end of the season. This decision was later extended. Russians compete only in local tournaments.
Previously Kulesova appreciated the form of an Olympic champion returning to the sport.
