Greek PAOK’s Russian striker Fedor Chalov scored a goal in the match against Latvian Russian Federation in the fifth round of the Europa League general group stage.
The match will be played at Daugava Stadium in Riga. In the 59th minute of the match, Chalov scored with an assist from Kirill Despodov. For the Russian forward, it was his first goal in European Cup competitions since 2019: his last for CSKA Moscow against Ludogorets.
In the second half of the match, the score is 2-0 in favor of the Greek team.
Chalov was transferred to PAOK on 1 August. On August 13, the football player made his debut for the team in the Champions League match. Before the match against the Russian Federation, the Russian football player could not score a goal in 11 matches.
In May, it was reported that French club Marseille had shown interest in Chalov. According to the Transfermarkt portal, which at that time valued Fedor at 12 million euros and has now reduced the value to 11 million euros, the management of the French team discussed the details of the potential transfer with representatives of the army club. However, the transfer never took place.
