Atlanta United defeated Inter Miami in the third match of the North American Major League Soccer (MLS) play-off last 16 round.
The meeting took place in Fort Lauderdale. The match ended with the guest team scoring 3:2. The goals for Atlanta United were scored by Jamal Tjare, who scored a double in the 19th and 21st minutes of the match, and Bartosz Slisz in the 76th minute.
The goals for Inter Miami were scored by Matias Rojas in the 17th minute and Lionel Messi in the 65th minute.
Atlanta’s Russian midfielder Alexey Miranchuk broke into the starting lineup. He assisted Tjare’s second goal during the meeting.
The match was the last in a three-win streak. The score was 2-1 in favor of Atlanta United. Thanks to this, the American club reached the quarter-finals. In the next stage of the play-offs, the team will face Orlando City.
