Russian tennis player Diana Schneider beat Japanese athlete Kioku Okamura and reached the second round of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournament held in Hong Kong.
The match, which lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes, ended in two sets with the Russians’ scores of 6:3 and 6:3. Schneider hit three aces, committed a double-fault and converted three of seven break points. Okamura has two serves in a row, with not a single double fault or an earned break point.
In the next match of the tournament, top-seeded Schneider will play against Australian Priscilla Hong, who beat Hong Kong tennis player Judis Chong 6:3, 6:4.
