Former Russian skaters Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin, who currently represent Georgia, failed to make the podium in ice dancing at the US Grand Prix and finished fourth.
The couple scored 166.73 points. Laila Fear and Lewis Gibson from England took first place (206.38), USA representatives Madison Chock and Evan Bates took second place (205.63), while Olivia Smart and Tim Dick from Spain completed the top three (206.38). 189.44).
Davis and Smolkin, the daughter of Russian coach Eteri Tutberidze, have been representing the Georgian national team since the summer of 2023. The last official debut on the international stage for Russian figure skaters was the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where Davis and Smolkin also performed as part of the Russian team.
Davis previously stated: I never wanted Compete for the USA.
