Dynamo Moscow appealed to the expert referee commission of the Russian Football Union (ESC RFU) with a request to cancel the second yellow card of Moroccan forward El-Mehdi Mauhoub. This was reported by “Sports Express”.
In the 74th minute of the match against Spartak, the main referee of the match, Sergei Ivanov, sent the player off the field for simulation after the player made contact with Ruslan Litvinov.
The match, held on September 22 at the Lukoil Arena stadium, ended with a score of 2:2. In the 3rd minute of the match, Dinamo forward Konstantin Tyukavin opened the score. Spartak responded with goals from the penalty spot in the 7th minute by Costa Rican Manfred Ugalde and in the 23rd minute by Argentine Ezequiel Barco. It took seven minutes for Moroccan forward El-Mehdi Mauhoub, who entered the field for Dinamo in the middle of the second half, to receive a red card. The remaining Spartak players could not hold on to the victory – in the 90+5th minute Tyukavin scored a double.
