State Duma deputy Dmitry Svishchev responded to the initiative of Olympic figure skating champion Alina Zagitova to hold the Scarlet Sails show. Her words give guidance “Soviet sport”.
“I have a positive attitude towards any initiative. Any activity related to the popularization of sports is necessary. Now everyone is worried about the price of 75 million liras. Isn’t it a lot? It’s difficult for me to answer this question. The country is going through hard times and loves to count money,” Svishchev said.
Before that reportedHe said Zagitova had applied to the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives for a grant of ₽74.798 million to organize the Scarlet Sails ice show in St. Petersburg in 2025. The show is “a unique combination of literature, music, dance and figure skating.”
