CSKA’s missing players in the Zenit match were revealed

CSKA forward Tamerlan Musaev said that the team’s goal was not enough in the match against Zenit in the Russian Premier League (RPL). The football player’s words were quoted “Soviet sport”.

“Today is a shameful defeat. What did the team lack? My goal,” said Musaev.

In the eighth round match of the Russian Championship, CSKA lost to Zenit St. Petersburg 0:1. The only goal in this match was scored in the 43rd minute by Zenit’s new player, Argentinian forward Luciano Gondo, after a pass from Brazilian Douglas Santos.

Thus, the blue-white-blue returned to first place in the standings and have 20 points after eight matches.

In the ninth round of the RPL, Zenit will face Fakel at home. The match will be played on September 21st and will start at 16:30 Moscow time. CSKA will play away against Rubin. The match will be played on the same day but will start at 19:00 Moscow time.
