Leclerc wins Azerbaijan Grand Prix second practice

The winner of the second practice session of the Formula 1 stage held on the city track in Azerbaijan was Charles Leclerc, the pilot of Italian Scuderia Ferrari.

The racer, who holds citizenship from the Kingdom of Monaco, showed a result of 1:43.484. Second was Red Bull driver Sergio Perez (+0.006) and third was Briton Lewis Hamilton (+0.066) representing Mercedes.

The reigning Formula 1 champion, Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, finished the race in sixth place, losing more than 13 seconds to Leclerc. The driver is a three-time Formula 1 world champion (2021, 2022 and 2023). He holds the record for most wins in a single season and most consecutive Formula 1 Grand Prix wins.
