Dynamo Moscow defender Eli Daza praised the club’s readiness to compete with Zenit St. Petersburg. His words are a guide “Soviet sport”.
“We always have a good chance of winning the cup. Last season showed that we have a chance in the League and the Cup, but we have a long way to go. I am trying to get better and better, I want to help Dinamo achieve what the club wants. Can we compete with Zenit? Yes, we showed that last season,” Dasa said.
In the group stage of the RPL Russian Cup, Dynamo plays in Group A along with Spartak Moscow, Dynamo Makhachkala and Krylia Sovetov Samara. The capital clubs and the Makhachkala team have six points each, while Dynamo Moscow is in third place in terms of additional indicators.
Marcel Lička’s team is in fourth place in the Russian Premier League (RPL) standings, having collected 12 points and losing three points to leaders capital Lokomotiv.
Last season, RPL Dynamo fought for the title until the final round; the team needed to beat or draw with Krasnodar to win the trophy. However, the capital’s club lost and finished in third place behind Zenit and Krasnodar.
