Atlanta United’s Russian midfielder Alexey Miranchuk explained why he decided to move to the American championship. The footballer’s words are quoted “Sports Express”.
“MLS is growing, there are a lot of quality players playing here. I played in Europe for four years, I achieved everything I wanted. This transition happened at the right time and in the right place,” Miranchuk said.
Miranchuk has been playing for Atalanta since 2020 and is currently on loan at Torino. The 28-year-old Russian player, who played 42 games in all competitions for Bergamasco last season, scored 4 goals and made 12 assists in these matches. In total, he scored 13 goals and made 19 assists in 98 games for the Italian club. Miranchuk won the Europa League with Atalanta.
In 2011, Alexey Miranchuk and his twin brother Anton moved to the Lokomotiv Moscow academy. The brothers made their debut in the main team of the “railway workers” in 2013.
