Famous former national football player, former striker of the Russian national team Dmitry Bulykin spoke about the quality work that Lokomotiv does with its students in his comments to socialbites.ca.
“Of course, a lot depends on the coaching staff and their vision of how they work with young people. They have already proven last season that they want to work, and the club’s management has chosen the right strategy to develop young players, to rely on Russians, not on foreign players. I think that all this now has a good effect on the result, on the game, because young people are always more motivated and brighter in their eyes. They play on their home ground and fight for a good contract. But the legionnaires come, get good money and do not give the maximum. In this sense, Lokomotiv has a logic, and I would like many other teams to think about it and not to buy foreign players of sometimes incomprehensible quality,” he said.
Lokomotiv are in third place in the standings with 12 points from the first five rounds of the Russian Premier League. Having already scored two goals and made four assists in the current championship, 19-year-old midfielder Alexey Batrakov has already made his mark in the RPL.
Previously Dynamo Makhachkala to win Historic victory in the RPL.
