Brewer allows establishment of a hockey club in the KHL

A team from the Baltika brewing company could take part in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). This possibility is stated in a comment to the portal Legal betting Received Egor Guselnikov, vice president of sales of the company.

He stressed that the Kaliningrad football team Baltika has nothing to do with the beer company. Guselnikov also expressed hope that the team will return to the Russian Premier League (RPL). Speaking about the possible appearance of the club in the KHL, the official of the brewing company, with which Baltika became a partner on August 19, said that he is ready for different forms of cooperation.

“We are open to any form of interaction. We understand that this is a completely different cooperation, a different business, but why not,” Guselnikov said.

In the 2023/24 season, Metallurg Magnitogorsk won a crushing victory over Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Kontinental Hockey League – Gagarin Cup playoff finals. Metallurg won four games in a row and closed the final series with a score of 4-0. The new Kontinental Hockey League season starts in early autumn – on September 3.
