Pixel 9 smartphones: a new standard in performance

The main stars of the presentation were three models: Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. Not only did they get a new, slimmer design, they also received an updated Google Tensor G4 processor, which Google calls “the fastest and most power-efficient” in its lineup. The smartphones now have a 20% improved battery life and an advanced cooling system. Also, for the first time on Android devices, support for satellite communications via Satellite SOS technology has appeared, making the new models ideal for use in conditions where there is no cellular service.

The base version of the smartphone will have 12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage, while the Pro version will have 16 GB of RAM and 128 to 512 GB of internal storage. The differences also affect the camera; the Pro version will get a more powerful front camera, but the main modules will remain the same. The Pro XL version, in turn, will get a larger display, a slightly improved camera suite and a slightly more capacious battery. The standard model will cost $ 799 (about 72,000 rubles), the Pro version will cost $ 999 (about 90,000 rubles), and the most expensive version, Pro XL, will cost $ 1,099 (about 99,000 rubles).

Pixel 9 Pro Fold: foldable smartphone has become lighter and thinner

Another major release was the foldable smartphone Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This time, Google has seriously worked on improving the design and technical characteristics: the device has become thinner and lighter, and also received an improved camera module and a new processor. The internal display is now 8 inches, which makes it even more pleasant to work with. A foldable smartphone from Google costs $ 799 (about 72,000 rubles).

As for the filling, the headphones have an updated processor (Tensor A1), in addition, they are almost a quarter lighter and more compact. The new version of the watch costs $ 399 (about 36,000 rubles), and the headphones cost $ 299 (about 27,000 rubles).

Gemini: A New Level of Virtual Assistant

Special attention should be paid to the virtual assistant Google Gemini, which replaced Google Assistant. Gemini offers users new AI features, including voice communication and contextual use in applications. The Gemini app functions as a layer that can be placed on top of other apps to communicate in the context of the current activity.

Also introduced was Gemini Live, a voice communication feature between the user and the AI. It is currently only available in English for Gemini Advanced subscribers and only on Android devices. There are plans to support other iOS languages ​​and platforms in the future. Users can choose from ten natural-sounding voices with clear and understandable speech.
