American basketball player Diana Taurasi became the first person to become a six-time Olympic champion in team sports.
On August 11, the women’s basketball tournament ended with the victory of the USA team. They beat France in the final match (67:66). Thanks to this victory, the Americans to win Overall medal table of the Olympic Games – 2024.
Taurasi, 42, has won every Olympics since 2004 as a member of the team.
The closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympics will be held on August 11. The event will start at 21:30 Moscow time in the French capital.
Following the start of Russia’s SVO in Ukraine, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes and recommended that Federations not allow athletes from these countries to participate in international competitions.
