Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) pleased Objection by the Romanian National Olympic Committee (NOC) against the distribution of medals in artistic gymnastics floor exercise at the Paris Olympics.
According to the results of the competition, Romania’s Ana Barbosu came in third, beating American Jordan Chiles. The United States objected to the approved evaluation, after which Chiles was placed in third place, while Barbosa dropped to fourth place.
CAS said the US objection was made after the one-minute time limit set by the rules had expired, meaning it was invalid. The US was four seconds late in its protest.
