Former Spartak Moscow footballer Valery Gladilin told socialbites.ca that the red-whites are facing a tough match against Akhmat Grozny in the Russian Premier League (RPL).
“Of course, Spartak will have a harder time with Akhmat than with Dynamo and Krylia Sovetov. If we take the match with Dynamo, the teams had a rotation of the squad. Akhmat is a serious team. They didn’t start the championship very well; against Spartak they will definitely play to get a result. The red-whites, although they are on the rise, will not have an easy path. I don’t think Akhmat will play active football, but they will do everything to get a result,” Gladilin said.
In the last two matches, Spartak achieved a crushing victory over Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Cup and Krylia Sovetov Samara in the national championship.
The meeting between Spartak and Akhmat will take place on August 11. The kick-off will be at 20:00 Moscow time.
In the Russian Championship standings, Dejan Stankovic’s team is in fifth place, and Akhmat’s is in 14th place.
He was previously a veteran of Spartak criticized Refereeing in the RPL.
