The Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR), commenting on the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to award the bronze medal in the team tournament of the 2022 Olympics to the Russian team, expressed confidence that the Russian figure skaters are the strongest team at these Games, reports Web site organizations.

“FFKKR sincerely thanks everyone who fought and defended the interests of our athletes. We are confident that the Russian Olympic team is the strongest in Beijing,” the statement said.

On August 2, the CAS ruled to reject Canada’s appeal and refused to review the results of the competition. The Russian team will retain the bronze medal of the Olympic tournament.

Russia moved from first to third place with Kamila Valieva’s disqualification. CAS rejected Russia’s appeal against being deprived of the gold in the team tournament, leaving the medals redistributed: USA won gold, Japan won silver, Russia won bronze.

The Russians were not invited to Paris for the medal ceremony scheduled for August 7.
